The year started with Casual Classics 2 with the Huntsville Symphony. We played Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony Op.9. Casual Classics is a series of three concerts a season 60 some minutes in length with explanations from the stage. We started by playing the entire piece then we played demos (mostly to help the audience “hear it through”) then we played the piece AGAIN in its entirety. The musicians and I agreed that we liked to do this. Especially with a piece like the Chamber Symphony. I fell in love with this piece AGAIN!

Orlando’s Awakening
The World Premiere of Gregory’s new orchestral piece called Orlando’s Awakening concludes the opening concert of Music of Our Times Festival Sept 30, 2012, at the Italian Institute in Budapest, Hungary. The U.S. premiere of Orlando’s Awakening, played by the Vancouver Symphony, will also be conducted by Gregory on Nov 10 & 11, 2012.

New CD on BMC label featuring three works by Gregory is coming in September: Barbie Blue, Gulliver in Faremido and Conversations with Children. The CD design is by world famous designer and architect Gabor Bachman
